Replacement LED Bulbs for Daewoo

Saving Power has become need of the hour, because of great demand for electricity throughout the world companies manufacturing bulbs and other illumination products are always trying to bring out new products that would help in using less electricity and would bring down the bill of consumers also would generate less heat in the surrounding.

Electricity saving illumination is required in many countries because of increasing power tariff in many countries, there are countries where people are still deprived of electricity, and a normal incandescent bulb consumes high power and is very costly to consumers because they have to pay huge amount for electricity every month.

Illumination product manufacturing companies did some research and have brought replacement LED Bulbs in Daewoo in the market. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.

Replacement LED Bulbs are thought to be power savers and are called so because they are considered to be replacements for standard incandescent lights.

Replacement LED Bulbs are costlier than normal incandescent bulbs which are cheaper. The cost is more because of its power saving feature and its manufacturing cost, these types of LED bulbs have become market leader in no time for its power saving feature and are believed to emit soft light as compared to ordinary incandescent bulbs which causes strain on eyes.

Research conducted by different power companies shows that a normal incandescent bulb consumes around 530 kW per year and its corresponding price for power consumption is somewhere around $0.12 kW per year and for this one has to use around 9 normal incandescent bulbs and price of each bulb is around $0.70 whereas a LED bulb only consumes 18 kW per year and the price of LED bulb is around $29 and life of a LED bulb is considered to be around 100,000 hours

The above data from research clearly shows that though emplacement LED Bulbs are costlier than normal bulbs they save huge amount of power and also the electricity bill one pays is quite less and comfortable to one’s purse, so it is wise for everyone to start using replacement LED Bulbs whatever may be its cost in the market, it is just one time payment and its lifetime is also thought to be more than the normal bulb.

Significantly, replacement  LED bulbs come with at least Six months warranty period when you purchase the product due to its high cost , hence this makes this product more worthy of being tried and remember we don’t get any kind of warranty for a normal bulb as it is cheap . Though a normal bulb is cheap it keeps on cutting our bank balance due to high power consumption and also there are other drawbacks of using normal bulbs.

Replacement LED bulbs are brighter than normal incandescent filament bulbs and is very reliable and the life of such LED bulbs are very long because LED bulbs have no filaments which cannot burn or break.

Replacement LED bulbs uses less power and it also generates less heat than ordinary bulbs which consumes more power and heat. Due to its less heat generation feature replacement LED bulbs are considered very essential for reducing global warming that has become great problem for everyone in this Universe.

Replacement LED bulbs have become a brand for Green Energy worldwide, lets say LED bulbs have become very essential for everyone of us.

Energy saving light bulb

Energy saving light bulbs or Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs), to be more accurate about their name, has been very successful in recent times, owing to their usability, energy efficiency, long life span and lesser harmful impact on environment and surroundings.Energy saving light bulbs or Compact Fluorescent Lamps generally gives same amount of light than a traditional incandescent light bulb, but consumes lesser energy and lasts eight to ten times longer than the traditional incandescent light bulb.Generally, energy saving light bulbs or Compact Fluorescent Lamps has a higher purchase price then the traditional incandescent light bulb however it can save over £30 in terms of electricity cost over the bulb’s lifetime.

Energy saving light bulbs or CFLs typically have a lifespan of between 6,000 and 15,000 hours, as compared to incandescent light bulb which is manufactured to have a life span of 750 hours to 1,000 hours. Energy saving light bulbs as the name suggests, consumes a significantly lower amount of electricity as compared to the traditional incandescent lights.

In UK and worldwide,Energy saving light bulbs have replaced inefficient and traditional incandescent light bulb. Traditional and inefficient light bulbs are being phased out worldwide; they are fast disappearing from the shops and the markets and are being replaced by energy saving light bulbs. Energy saving light bulbs are compact, bright, attractive and comes in a variety of shapes and size, depending upon your use, so the only thing that you will experience is better light and a significant drop in your monthly electricity bill. According to an estimate, currently a vast majority of the 600 million light bulbs that are being used in UK homes are inefficient incandescent light bulb. By replacing these inefficient tungsten filament bulbs with the energy saving light bulbs will not only help us save enormous amount of energy as a nation but also help us contribute towards the environment and fight the causes of global warming.

Today, all the stakeholders in this process,i.e. the government, retailers, manufacturers and energy companies are working together to replace the inefficient tungsten filament bulbs with the Energy saving light bulbs for maintaining and sustaining a better environment and planet.Tungsten filament bulbs greater than 100 Watt have already started to be phased out, thanks to the recent initiatives adopted by the European Union which lays emphasis on phasing out the tungsten filament bulbs over a period of next five years. The UK is already one year ahead, thanks to the efforts made by the different stakeholders in the process. In times to come, these energy saving light bulbs will become even cheaper, universal and sophisticated as more and more bulbs will be produced, that would also ensure the price of these bulbs comes down substantially because manufacturers will be able to produce it in larger quantities and make it more efficient.

LED Bulbs the environmentalists choice in energy saving light bulbs

Presently there is a lot of concentraton on the environment and how energy saving light bulbs can cut back the carbon foot print. Undoubtedly the best technology energy saving light bulb is LED bulbs, nevertheless their cost is high and are they in all respects worth the investment? Here is a summary of the technology and history of LED Bulbs together with information regarding the costs and environmental positive aspects. Optimistically this information will be of assistance in decision making in LED bulbs.

LED bulbs technology

LED Bulbs utilize light emitting diode semi-conductor technology which has been around since 1962 in a simple form mainly for very low light indicator lamps. The technology behind LED bulbs allows very small units, typically of 1 square millimetre, to be made and in a spectrum of colours. Also LED’s are inherently very reliable and can withstand knocks and bangs widening their utilization. The power constraint of the early units meant that usage was restricted to applications ,for example electronic unit displays; however, the technological advancement basically means that they are now adopted in general lighting applications.

How much energy do they save?

If we use a 25 watt halogen downlighter as a comparator then approximately the same level of light output can be obtained from a 3W LED MR16 . This will create and electricity saving in the vicinity of 85% in comparison to the halogen bulb. Another consequence of the electricity saving is that there will be less stress on the electrical wiring and any transformers will have a longer life span. This results in an additional operational cost saving.

Cost of LED bulbs

The price of LED bulbs is significantly more than either incandescent, halogen or CFL bulbs, but with advancements in technology then the price now means they are commercially viable. When analysing the commercials is most important to note that LED bulbs will typically last anything up to 50 times more than conventional bulbs as their life in approximately 30000 hours.

To quantify the cost savings here we add the running costs of a LED bulb to the purchase cost and compare this to the cost of using traditional bulbs for the same period. Using this practice then you will see a lifetime saving of ordinarily £250 for every LED purchased.

The effect on your carbon footprint of using LED bulbs.

There are 3 key advantages of using LED bulbs from an environmental point of view.

1. LED lamps have a exceptionally long lifespan compared to conventional bulbs and accordingly the level of landfill is dramatically reduced.
2. When electricity is generated using oil and coal stations then it develops large quantities of carbon dioxide. The low energy usage results in a large reduction in your carbon footprint.
3. LED’s unlike CFL’s do not contain mercury or any other hazardous substances which are dangerous to the environment.

These 3 eco benefits disclose clear facts as to why LED bulbs are the preferred option in comparison to halogen or beyond doubt CFL technology for energy saving light bulbs. In due time these benefits mean that it is predicted that LED technology will take over as the best choice.

Actually what amount will LED bulbs honestly save you?

There is a great quantity of evidence pointing to the energy savings of LED bulbs but in contrast they do have a particularly high price tag. Another factor in their benefit is long life and high reliability so how do you evaluate whether they are worth purchasing? If you want to get a correct perspective on the commercials you need to work out the total cost of ownership and use of LED Bulbs and compare this to established incandescent light bulbs.

Total cost of ownership evaluation.

In order to perform this calculation it is prudent firstly, to add the purchase cost for the LED bulb to the working cost for this bulb. Now as LED bulbs will ordinarily last 30 times longer than a traditional light bulb then you then need to add the operating costs and 30 conventional light bulbs.

Candle shaped 3watt LED example.

A cost of 15 pence for every kWhour of electricity used has been assumed for these calculations.
The price of a 3 watt LED candle is approx. £15. The electricity fees over the life span of the LED bulb works out at £13.50. This leaves a total lifetime expense of £28.50.
This LED candle light bulb gives approximately the analogous lumens light output to a 25 watt traditional light bulb. A everyday bulb will have a lifetime of anywhere around1000 hours.
At 30 pence for each candle bulb then the cost of 30 equates to £24. To operate the candle light bulb for 30k hours costs £112.50. For 30000 hours this indicates that the traditional light bulb would have a total operating cost of £136.50.
The answer is a saving of a massive £108 by means of the purchase of the 3w LED candle bulb over the life of the bulb. This means that through the purchase of the LED candle bulb a huge saving of £108 is accrued over it’s lifespan.
I’m sure you will agree that this demonstates the astounding savings you get through using LED bulbs!

MR16 LED comparison for a 3 watt lamp.

The calculation for the 3 watt MR16 uses a similar logic so I will not go through each and every step. As the logic for the assessment for the 3 watt MR16 is identical I will not detail the entire calculation. The major consideration here is that the MR16 LED’s can be selected either as a 48 LED lamp or with high power LED’s. Here we need to accommodate for the difference in purchase expenditure with the 48 LED version costing mostly £10 and the high power version costing usually £15. The high powered LED’s will illuminate with a single or triple beam whereas the 48 LED lamps have 48 different light sources.
The price of the MR16′s is assumed to be 80 pence as with the candles which means that the lifetime savings are;
A saving of £113 is attained through the use of the 48 LED MR16 during its lifetime.
You can easily save £108 through the use of the high powered MR16 LED over their life.
Again the savings are monstrous and only vary by 4.5% across the different variants of LED bulbs.

LED Bulbs

Now-a-days most of the car manufacturing companies are using LED bulbs for their cars.

Experts say the end could be near for the electric light bulb – in the car industry at least.

Electronic semiconductors called light emitting diodes have been used for rear light systems on cars since the early 1990s. Now companies in the sector say LED bulbs may start replacing bulbs for low-beam headlights in many high-end models as early as 2006.

German lighting specialist Hella has just started series production of a headlight that uses white LED bulbs for the W-12 version of the Audi A8.

LED bulbs are smaller and use much less power than electric bulbs. LED bulbs can be shaped to fit almost any space, send light directionally and are generally more versatile than standard lighting. Car LED bulbs help by lighting up the dashboard in our car so that we can keep track of our speed, the amount of gas we have and the RPM levels. LED is an acronym for light emitting diode and this type of bulb was actually developed way back in the 1960′s. The new technological developments that allowed color to be added to the LED, the use of the bulb extended to car industry.

If you have a newer model luxury car and you are driving at night, look at the lighting system in the dash of your vehicle. This will give you a first hand look at how LED auto light bulbs work to help you. If you want to know how many led bulbs you are using then you need to know about the led bulbs for cars .There are many kinds of LED bulbs we are using in our cars now-a-days. Some of them are as follows: Signal LED bulbs, stop LED bulbs, Indicator LED bulbs, side LED bulbs, license LED bulbs, car accessories with LED bulbs, car interior LED bulbs, antenna LED bulbs, decoration alarms LED bulbs, running LED bulbs, projector LED bulbs, reversing horn with LED bulbs, frog LED bulbs, LED bulbs under car kits, wind power LED bulbs and so many other car accessory products with LED bulbs.

LED lights have been found in car cockpits for sometime. They are used to illuminate control functions and placed in locations where constantly replacing a regular car bulb would be laborious and expensive. Now they are slowly making their way into car’s exterior lights and are starting to replace more common xenon and halogen bulbs, and while a widespread adoption of this new bulb technology has yet to be fully embraced, the benefits of it are plentiful. LED bulbs are more compact, durable and energy-efficient than regular incandescent light bulbs, and they last much longer. A regular light bulb only lasts about 500 hours running continuously, but a LED can last 10,000 hours, or as much as 100,000 hours, so that is much longer in terms of permanence and that’s pretty much as long as a car lasts.

Let’s take 2008 Honda Civic changing the license plate lights to LED for instant.

Step 1: visit Osram Sylvania Lamp Replacement Guide to figure out the license plate light bulb’s part number. You can easily find Osram bulb guide on Google and select the 2008 Honda in the made and year and choose Civic on the next page. Submit the selection and you will see the page with all the lights (lamps) with the part # listed out.

This page is very messy with lots of information such as bulb part number, and descriptions. All you need to do is to scroll down to the License Plate Lights and write down the numerical part number which is 168 in this case study.

Step 2: after you find out which bulb size you need, time to determine the type of LED light bulbs will work better for the license plate lights. There are two types of LEDs, the conventional refractor LED bulbs and the latest new SMD/SMT (Surface Mounting Device or Surface Mounting Technology) LED bulbs.

The refractor LEDs have water drop like plastic refractors on the top of the light emitter, used for concentrating the light. Because of this characteristic, it has very narrow angle for the light emitting. Because of this, the refractor LE.D. is often used as spot lights and its light angle is no more than 150-degree.

On the other hand, the latest SMD/SMT LEDs have flat emitting surfaces. The flat surface has a much wider angle to emit a nice flooding light and it is also relatively brighter than refractor LEDs. Also because of SMD LED is easier to assemble onto the PCB circuit board, the lighting angle can reach an amazing full 360-degrees.

Base on the differences of these two kinds of LED lights, if you are using the LEDs to replace the stock side marker lights or parking lights, the refractor LEDs will suit better because of its concentrated lighting that can shine a further distance.

In contrast, when replacing the stock license plate lights or interior map reading lights with LED lights, the SMD LEDs will work better because of its brighter and flooding lighting.

Therefore, for the license plate lights, we will choose the brighter and wider angle SMD over the refractor. Step 3: after the decision of LED bulb size and LED bulb type, let’s move to the final step for the LED bulb color.

According to US traffic law and regulation, for car exterior, the Xenon White color not only applies with the regulation, but also light up brighter over Ultra Blue or Brilliant Red.

For the car interior, since there is no regulation at. You can choose any colors, just to express your personality and set the accent mood however you like.

On iJDMTOY, we carry varieties of LED bulbs in many color selections. You will for sure find the best fitting LED lights here like LED license plate lights, LED strip lights and more! and more!

Light Bulbs

By Kimberly Quang

Every room in a modern building is illuminated by artificial lighting. This means that sooner or later you will need to find the right replacement light bulbs for your fixtures. Whether you are looking for specifically designed light bulbs to conserve energy or if you need a certain model for a specialty lamp, you have come to the right place. There is a wide selection of many lamps and bulbs to fit your needs, and all of them are cost effective enough to find a place in any budget.

There are many options available. If you are seeking energy efficient light bulbs you can find many options here. In order to maximize energy savings in a home or business, many experts advise replacing all of your inefficient incandescent lights with the cheapest of the energy efficient models: fluorescent lamps. One of the quickest and easiest ways to accomplish this is to replace your older bulbs with compact fluorescent lamps. These lamps are designed to fit into the same socket as incandescents. They use much less energy to operate over their lifetime, and the savings can off set the initial slightly higher cost.

It is always a good idea to update the lamps and light bulbs. The first lamp invented was the predecessor to the modern incandescent light bulb. Older models simply lit, without regard to their efficiency, but today not all incandescent light bulbs are inefficient. We have a selection of 10,000 hour lamps, many of which are incandescents. These long life light bulbs are very efficient in the amount of energy they use. Other efficient light bulb options include halogen light bulbs. These work in the same manner as incandescents, but the difference is the addition of a halogen gas inside the lamp. This halogen actually repairs the filament as it burns. This gives halogen lamps a longer life alternative to older light bulbs.

We also offer an entire class of bulbs which many people use for outside. These are call high intensity discharge (HID) lamps. They all operate by sending an electric current through a specific gas inside the bulb. This excites the particles inside which emit light. This category includes mercury vapor lamps, metal halide lamps, high pressure sodium lamps, and low pressure sodium lamps. Of these the most efficient and best for illuminating colors are the high pressure sodium light bulbs. We do not offer low pressure sodium lamps due to their poor color rendering.

Every school child learns the tale of Thomas Edison and the invention of the light bulb, but there were many patents filed with the United States patent office from competing inventors for the very same idea. The notion of lighting a filament by passing heat or an electrical current through in as it is shut up in a glass bulb was conceived in the middle of the nineteenth century. By 1879, Sir Joseph Swan from England and Thomas Edison brought this bright idea into reality. Neither of them corresponded with the other concerning their work, so it is thought that both created the model of the incandescent bulb independently. Edison is remembered for the achievement, especially by Americans, due to his nationality, and the widespread marketing and use of his model. Edison realized that it pays to advertise his new light bulb.

Fun Uses For Light Bulbs

By David Sanders

We all know what light bulbs are, how they were invented and where to buy them. In an effort to avoid repeating the same information that other lighting related articles discuss, this feature will discuss some of the fun uses for light bulbs and why they are often much more than just a bulb.

$Science Projects. If your child is in school, one of the most enjoyable science assignments he/she will have is to create a project that will be judged on it’s appearance, research and facts. This assignment, called a science project, is entered into a science fair and judged against all other entries. At the conclusion of the competition, awards are given to the best projects before they continue on the national competition. A popular science project would be a feature on light bulbs, which could showcase the invention process and how lighting has changed the world as we know it. One of the popular categories could feature different types of bulbs and how they are used, including standard lighting and those used for decorative themes and holidays.

$Creating Your Own Lamps. Whether you are a crafter for fun or profit, creating your own lamps can be a terrific way to earn some extra money or simply decorate your home using a one-of-a-kind creation. Many people find that a hand-carved wooden lamp shade provides a beautiful effect. Once designed and made, a light bulb would be placed into the lamp as it would with a traditional retail product. When the light is turned on and the color shines through the carefully crafted wooden cutout design, the lighting effect will be a real treat. An example would be a wooden shade with carefully cut shapes of a deer, dolphin or other popular animal. When lit, these handcrafted beauties add much more than just a source of light. In fact, they add a unique touch to any room in the home.

$Add A Splash Of Color To Your Room. Light bulbs are often available in a variety of colors, which can be a nice change from the standard clear lighting source. Using different colors in lightbulbs can add a real touch of whimsy to your room and can be a nice coordinating element to your custom decor.

When using or working with light bulbs, it’s important to keep in mind that they are very fragile and can be dangerous if broken. Children should not be allowed to handle them without adult supervision. When it comes to the little ones, safety comes first as they are the true light in our lives.

LED Strip Light Bulbs

By Russell Neal

LED strip lighting replaces soon-to-be antiquated lighting sources of fluorescent and halogen light bulbs. Linear strip lights that utilize LED lamps employ semiconductor technology to generate illumination. This reduces the risk of fire hazards that result from overheated lighting equipment and cuts cost on energy consumption. Phantom LED strip lighting delivers value to both commercial and residential lighting arenas and is sweeping the technology world as the wave of the future.

LED strip lighting lends itself perfectly to commercial applications where energy saving and maintenance costs are a concern. Both gas and filament bulbs consume a great deal of power and become very hot if burned too long. Commercial entities must pay close attention to lighting to regulate overhead and often must limited the use of their lighting systems to ensure minimized overhead. This is not a concern with LED strip lighting. The average lamp life of LED strip lights is 50,000 hours–the longest lamp life of the industry. LED lamps generate very little heat and no ultraviolet radiation. For commercial entities in need of task and aesthetic strip lighting, LED technology offers a low-voltage, cost effective solution with minimized maintenance and dramatically reduced replacement costs.

The aesthetics of an LED strip light are equally impressive to its performance. The small low profile design of Phantom strips combines with custom shielding to allow designers to use LED lighting strips in many unique and creative ways. LED linear strips may be field cut to any size. Designers highly value the flexibility that our products deliver to them any time they work with round coves or radius applications. Phantom LED strip lights also deliver a level of task lighting unsurpassed by fluorescent and halogen lights. Because they use only minimal low voltage power and do not burn hot, they can subsequently be left on for longer periods without risk of overheating and damaging their environment.

LED lamps have evolved far beyond the red, green, and blue diodes of their early prototypes. LED lamps are now able to generate millions of colors and degrees of illuminations. Many proprietary LED strip lights are fully dimmable, and can even be used in conjunction with automated home lighting and other sophisticated aesthetic methodologies. Cool white LED lamps serve ideally in commercial arenas as sources of lighting for watches, necklaces, and diamonds in jewelry stores. The brilliant white light adds a sparkle to jewelry that maximizes retail showcasing of high-end merchandise. Warm white LED lamps produce a soft, pleasant light source conducive to both commercial and residential display applications. Fine art lighting, cove lighting, and even cabinet lighting normally call for this type of LED strip light to create a mystical aura around the piece
