Various Trends Of Astrological Predictions

By Ashish Jain

Astrological Predictions are often said to be least connected with reality, however number of people seeking help of astrologers regarding these predictions are increasing. Most of the time despite constant debate on credential of these predictions, they turn out to be true or very near to truth.

Well, individual astrological predictions about a person are made on the basis of his/her birth chart. Birth Chart is examined in relation to various planetary movements at present and at the time of the birth of the person to find out their cosmic effect on the person’s life and forecast is made accordingly.

Astrological predictions or forecast is an age old practice that was prevalent even in ancient civilizations of Rome and China. Chinese astrology and old Vedic astrology were of great assistance in decision making in those bygone eras. These decisions were rather based on predictions offered by astrologers.

Despite a surge in number of forecast seekers, astrology is subdued as a stream that can’t make precise predictions instead it could reveal some trends related to your future. But for believers, astrology can surely make absolute predictions as it bases its predictions upon the person’s birth chart details and stars.

Daily astrological prediction that is also known as daily horoscope offers an insight into future of folks with twelve differing sun signs. A common forecast is offered for people of one particular sign.

These predictions are not restricted to only one or two walks of a person’s life instead astrology covers almost all spheres of human life while making prediction. For example astrology also throws light on your probable love and romances. Your moon sign in conjunction with positions of Mars and Venus reflect about future of your love life. Seeing traits associated with your sun sign astrology also tries to know about your possible compatible relations in future. Even now a good number of people globally seek help of astrology in match making. That is primarily done to know whether couples are compatible for each other. Your health, career and monetary gains and losses…well, nothing is beyond the reach of astrology to predict about.

But astrological predictions can’t be relied upon to make decisions in some of the cases. However these predictions by making you acquainted with future circumstances help you in facing adverse situations in a better way. But you must seek your astrological details including forecast from an astrologer who have earned credibility, otherwise you may get fooled by deceitful statements by a person who hardly knows astrology. Psychic astrologers are best in making predictions who try to get future trends by doing your behavioral analysis along with your birth chart analysis.

Hindu Astrological Predictions

By James Gunaseelan

For thousands of years the Hindus in India were using the planets and stars to predict the future and confirm the past. The Hindu astrology defines the characteristics of a person depending on the place and the time of birth. The place and time of birth corresponds to a start and each star has its own distinct characteristics.

Some of the planets are thought to be good for people and some are thought to be bad for person’s life. If a person’s horoscope has a strong influence of the planet Saturn at any point in life, the person goes through lot of sufferings. As per the Hindu Vedas the life is full of joy and sorrows. One can not have life full of joy or full of sorrow. There are many remedies given to soothe the sufferings when a person goes through bad planetary positions.

Here are the categories of Hindu horoscopes.

Mesha

Vrishaba

Miduna

Kataka

Simha

Kanya

Tula

Vrischika

Dhanus

Makara

Kumba

Meena

The terms Aries,Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn , Aquarius and Pisces are used ONLY to denote their corresponding equivalents in Vedic Astrology. Any extension of them would lead to misinterpretation of the predictions . Predictions are on the basis of the birth stars and not on the English date of birth.

The hindu vedas gives many things one can do to prevent bad period in life. These are called Pariharams and are usually done in any temple. Some of the famous temples for doing pariharams are Tirupathi, Tiruchendur, Tanjore Siva Temple, Varanasi, Bath in the holy Ganges, Puttabarthi, Sai Baba temple, Palani, Kalahasthi, Thirunallar, Panjavadi, Guruvayur, Kumbakonam, Thiruvarur, Nagarcoil, temples in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh etc.

Many pariharams also talk about specific Gods like Krishna, Ganesha, Karthikeya, Siva, Vishnu, Kali, Linga.

Usually astrological predictions are done for a monthly or yearly period.

The Bible: Predictions Come True

By Wilma Melendez

Many people scoff at the Bible because it says that God created life, yet if we look at NASA’s search for life, we see the creation story has a lot of scientific truth. The Bible has preceded many scientific discoveries. The Bible even predicted the Chernobyl disaster.

Many scientists doubt the Bible, before I tell about the future prophecies, I would like to digress and write about the Bible’s record of reliability. It took scientists centuries to discover the conditions necessary for life to be sustained: water, light and atmosphere. But in the Bible’s story of creation, the requirements are all there, written thousands of years before science began.

The Bible says “In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth, and the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was upon the face of the waters. In this passage, “the deep” and the waters refer to the ocean which covered the whole Earth. “And God said, “Let there be light, and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3) and God created light. Water and light are two conditions that are necessary for any life form. Then the Bible says that God separated the waters below form the water above. That is, he made clouds, and he made an atmosphere. This Biblical quote was written long before science existed. The Bible is far ahead of its time.

Some scientists reject the Bible, but they are looking for life in other planets based upon the same principles that are written in the Bible. Scientists want to explore the moon Europa, one of Saturn’s ice-covered moons to see if there is life underneath its ice-covered surface. This mission will take place many years from the time of this writing because the ice is 16 km thick, and they need samples beneath that layer. But it will reveal whether there is an ocean beneath the tough exterior and if there are microorganisms. Biologists and Astronomers believe that life on Earth would be like life on Earth, and that it begins with unicellular organisms.

Here on Earth, scientists have discovered that there are microorganisms living in the extreme conditions of the water below Antarctica. According to NASA, there are undersea volcanoes on Earth that create environments that can sustain rich colonies of microbes (from the article “Divining Water on Europa” found at http://science.msfc.nasa.gov/newhome/headlines/ast09sep991.htm. ). This is possible because light reaches through the transparent ice. Based on these findings, they believe life could exist on Europa, an ice covered body. Many of them do not admit that the Bible says life began with a planet covered by water and that God made life.

Those who believe that God did not make life, that life began spontaneously by itself in a “primordial soup”, are rejecting that law which is basic to science and to rational thinking. I learned that Pasteur discovered even if you have the right conditions to support life, life will not spontaneously begin to exist. Before his discovery, people thought that life would exist anywhere out of the blue. He sterilized a container and the people expected that microorganisms would grow like mold or bacteria. But they did not grow at all. Pasteur taught us sterilization. Pasteur’s discovery led to our bathing and to doctors sterilizing surgery implements. Without this law, (that life does not exist spontaneously), we would still be ignorant and in the dark ages of lack of hygiene and infant medicine.

The Bible has proven itself in the past. Consider how the Book of Revelation predicted the Chernobyl disaster. Christian news analyst Jack Van Impe tells how the name for Chernobyl translated from the Ukrainian is called “Wormwood” in English. The Bible says, “And the third angel sounded and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountain of the waters; And the name of the star was Wormwood: and a third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters because it became bitter.” Revelation 8:10-11. A star in this passage refers to nuclear energy. The Chernobyl disaster was predicted in God’s book before people knew what radiation was.

The Bible speaks to our time, prophesizing a time of great tribulation in which the sun will darken. There are two scientific theories of how that could happen in the near future. Jesus said, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken.” (Mathew 24:29). First, Many Christians believe that the “stars from heaven” refers to missiles carrying multiple warheads launched into the sky. (In this passage, “heaven” is in lowercase, referring to the sky). According to scientists, a nuclear war could cause so much dust to be put into the atmosphere, that the sun could be unable to give its light, leading to the coldness of a nuclear winter.

Secondly, other Christians do not believe there will be a nuclear war. Nevertheless, they point out that the sun could stop shining for other reasons. Scientists have noticed that the amount of sun spots is increasing. Astronomists fear that if this trend continues, the sun could stop giving Earth most of its light. Both scientific theories, the nuclear winter theory and the increased sun spot theory, confirm Jesus’ words to us.

Many Christians who study the Bible are sure that we can escape from that terrible time by believing in Jesus. The Bible is a book of hope. These Christians are expecting Jesus to appear and take the believers with him to safety. “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory” (Colossians 3:4). At the beginning of the book of Revelation, before the tribulation begins, it is written “behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him…” In the end, no matter what happens, believers will go to heaven and have eternal happiness.

Some scientists mock the Bible, its miracles and revelations because they do not understand how they can occur. Those scientists do not know yet that God made all things and can do anything, our mind can not understand. However, the more that is discovered about nature, the more realistic that the stories of the Bible seem. The majority of scientists believe in God, perhaps precisely because so much of nature is unfathomable and unexplainable, and so far God’s prophecies have come true. The accuracy of the Bible thus far is a lesson for us to read and study the Bible, as important or more as reading the news, to know what is likely to happen and how we can be saved.

You may be thinking that you want to know more about the topics in this article. You may want to read books about “apologetics”, which is the explanation of how the Bible is correct despite rationalist and scientific objections. And you may be curious about prophecy, I recommend “The Merciful God of Prophecy: His Loving Plan for You in the End Times”.

Long Term Care Insurance Cost

By Elizabeth Newberry

Studies show that most of us are going to need long term care at some point in our lives. Keep in mind that long term care does not necessarily mean care for the rest of your life. Long term care needs can stem from an automobile accident in which your injuries may only be severe enough to require assistance for a few weeks or months, to just plain old age in which case you may need assistance for the rest of your life.

Since so many of us are going to need long term care at some point, we have to wonder whether or not we should purchase long term care insurance. It is a daunting decision, given the fact that we spend so much of our lives working and sending payments for so many other kinds of necessary insurance. We buy auto insurance because it is required. We buy life insurance because we do not want to leave our loved ones financially strapped. We buy health insurance because it is just smart. After a while, all of those insurance bills begin to add up.

Compared to the costs of other types of insurance the cost of long term care insurance is probably one of the trickiest costs to figure out. Prices vary depending on how old you are, how much long term care insurance you want to purchase, the kinds of options you choose to go along with your long term care insurance policy, and of course the long term care insurance provider you choose to purchase your policy from.

Because of these variables, the cost of long term care insurance can vary anywhere from lower than $100 every year to up in the thousands of dollars every year. This kind of widespread price range undoubtedly makes a person wonder whether or not purchasing a long term care insurance policy is really worth the cost – or, even feasible budget-wise.

A Brief History of Light Bulbs

By Rodney Munch

The along with the wheel, the light bulb is one of the worlds’ most important inventions and if you like seeing at night more than driving, then you will no doubt view the light bulb without question as THE most important.

The light bulb as we know it today is a product of the work of more than 10 notable inventors from Germany, the UK and the USA over a period of 182 years.

It all started with an English Chemist, Sir Humphry Davy in 1809 who noticed that by passing electricity from a battery though a carbon strip, it glowed. This was the making of the first arc lamp. Humphry died in 1829, around one hundred and twenty years before seeing the light bulbs he was so instrumental in inventing, light up the trenches of World War 2.

About 11 years after Davy, another English inventor, Warren De la Rue created a light tube by passing an electrical current though a platinum filament contained in an evacuated tube. While a successful model, this was highly impractical for widespread use due to the cost of the platinum filament.

In 1854, all hats in the light bulb community were off in the direction of Germany. Henricg Globel, who by profession was a watchmaker created the first true light bulb, using a carbonised bamboo filament placed in a glass bulb. The term ‘globe’ in ‘globe light bulbs’ could have possibly been named after Henricg, although I am not at liberty to say.

Another German, Herman Sprengel provided another breakthrough, inventing the mercury vacuum pump making a strong vacuum inside the bulb possible. This allows a longer life light bulb as it removes the effects of oxidation on the filament.

The most famous of all the inventors who had a hand in the development of the Light Bulb and often (wrongly) handed the crown of inventing the light bulb is the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison who went on to pioneer other notable inventions such as the phonograph and the kinetophone (talking motion picture). For involvement in the development of the light bulb he invented a carbon filament that burned for 40hrs which he put in an oxygen-less bulb. By 1880 he had managed to extend the life of his bulb to over 1200 hours using a bamboo derived filament.

Tungsten popped its head into the light bulb world in 1906 when the General Electric company of America patented their use. At the time however, these filaments were costly.

In 1910, an American Physicist by the name of William David Coolidge (or William to his friends) came up with an improved method of making the tungsten filaments. His improved method greatly extended the life of existing filaments and made them much more economical.

The light bulb as we know it was made and continues to light up the dark nights

In 1991 Phillips invented a light bulb capable of over 60,000 hours. That’s almost 7 full years of illumination. Even more if you switch it off when you go to bed.

Actually what amount will LED bulbs honestly save you?

There is a great quantity of evidence pointing to the energy savings of LED bulbs but in contrast they do have a particularly high price tag. Another factor in their benefit is long life and high reliability so how do you evaluate whether they are worth purchasing? If you want to get a correct perspective on the commercials you need to work out the total cost of ownership and use of LED Bulbs and compare this to established incandescent light bulbs.

Total cost of ownership evaluation.

In order to perform this calculation it is prudent firstly, to add the purchase cost for the LED bulb to the working cost for this bulb. Now as LED bulbs will ordinarily last 30 times longer than a traditional light bulb then you then need to add the operating costs and 30 conventional light bulbs.

Candle shaped 3watt LED example.

A cost of 15 pence for every kWhour of electricity used has been assumed for these calculations.
The price of a 3 watt LED candle is approx. £15. The electricity fees over the life span of the LED bulb works out at £13.50. This leaves a total lifetime expense of £28.50.
This LED candle light bulb gives approximately the analogous lumens light output to a 25 watt traditional light bulb. A everyday bulb will have a lifetime of anywhere around1000 hours.
At 30 pence for each candle bulb then the cost of 30 equates to £24. To operate the candle light bulb for 30k hours costs £112.50. For 30000 hours this indicates that the traditional light bulb would have a total operating cost of £136.50.
The answer is a saving of a massive £108 by means of the purchase of the 3w LED candle bulb over the life of the bulb. This means that through the purchase of the LED candle bulb a huge saving of £108 is accrued over it’s lifespan.
I’m sure you will agree that this demonstates the astounding savings you get through using LED bulbs!

MR16 LED comparison for a 3 watt lamp.

The calculation for the 3 watt MR16 uses a similar logic so I will not go through each and every step. As the logic for the assessment for the 3 watt MR16 is identical I will not detail the entire calculation. The major consideration here is that the MR16 LED’s can be selected either as a 48 LED lamp or with high power LED’s. Here we need to accommodate for the difference in purchase expenditure with the 48 LED version costing mostly £10 and the high power version costing usually £15. The high powered LED’s will illuminate with a single or triple beam whereas the 48 LED lamps have 48 different light sources.
The price of the MR16′s is assumed to be 80 pence as with the candles which means that the lifetime savings are;
A saving of £113 is attained through the use of the 48 LED MR16 during its lifetime.
You can easily save £108 through the use of the high powered MR16 LED over their life.
Again the savings are monstrous and only vary by 4.5% across the different variants of LED bulbs.
